What does it mean that Kaizen is infused in silver?

Silver infusion is a process in which silk fibers are immersed in a solution rich in silver ions , a natural mineral with antimicrobial properties. During this bath, the ions penetrate and bind to the fabric fibers, without altering their softness or structure. This technology allows silk to act as a natural antibacterial barrier , eliminating up to 99.7% of bacteria , mold, and other microorganisms. The result: a cleaner, safer, and visibly skin-friendly pillowcase.

How long does silver ion treatment last? Is it proven to kill bacteria?

The treatment's effectiveness lasts for 18 months (80% effectiveness) . Starting at month 7.5, it will decrease by 5% every 3 months , based on washing every 10-15 days.

Is it proven to kill bacteria?

Silver ion technology works to eliminate two main types of bacteria, Cutibacterium acnes (C. acnes) [1] and Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) [2]

Are Kaizen products sustainable?

Producing 1 kilo of cotton requires 20,000 liters of water, while producing 1 kilo of silk requires 100 times less . This makes silk a much more sustainable and environmentally friendly option.

Care and Washing

How to wash Kaizen products?

To preserve quality, softness and benefits, follow these recommendations;

Pillowcases:

  • Hand wash or delicate cycle, using cold water.
  • Use Kaizen Detergent formulated specifically or a pH neutral one for silk.
  • Maximum 300 rpm (the lower the better).
  • Do not use bleach or fabric softener. Air dry, do not use in a dryer or in direct sunlight.
  • Iron at low temperature if necessary.

Masks and scrunchies:

  • We recommend washing exclusively by hand , with cold water and Kaizen Detergent .
  • Do not wring or rub vigorously. Air dry on a clean towel.

We formulated Kaizen detergent as the safest way to preserve silk without damaging its properties or shine.

How often should I wash Kaizen products?

Unlike other fabrics (washed every 2–3 days), Kaizen only needs to be washed every 10–15 days. This is possible thanks to the silver infusion , which keeps the silk clean for longer.

Once the order has been sent, it is not possible to modify it , since the process depends on an external company.

Once your order has been shipped, you'll receive a tracking code so you can track its status at all times.

How to request a product exchange?

To initiate an exchange, simply email us at info@kaizen-care.com with your order number. We'll be happy to help.

Once we receive the tracking number for your current return , we'll send you a store credit for the value of the returned product , so you can make a new purchase whenever you want.

  • If the new product is priced higher, you'll only have to pay the difference.
  • If the price is lower, we'll refund the difference.
